About Me

Hi, I’m Natalie!

I grew up in a cluttered household. Keeping the house tidy was difficult, but I learned as I got older. Grandma’s house was equally untidy, and held decades worth of collections, memorabilia, my uncles’ and mom’s old stuff, and my late Grandpa’s things.

My grandmother developed Alzheimer’s, and she wasn’t able to take care of herself or her home. My mom didn’t notice my grandmother’s mental decline in time to help grandma sort, prepare, and move to assisted living, so my uncles came to sell, auction and clear out grandma’s house.

I was devastated when I arrived at Grandma’s and everything was gone. All but a few of Grandma’s belongings were sold in the estate sale or donated, along with anything else that I may have wanted. I felt confused, guilty, angry and left out of these very important decisions. My family bickered about the whole process as many of them didn’t agree with what was done. These old wounds are still present today.

Through the years, my talent for organizing has grown into a passion and purpose. I help folks move through the process of letting go slowly, so they’re not left with the aftermath of devastation, and so they can do the best for themselves and their loved ones… before it’s too late. I, too find it immensely rewarding to share in this incredibly healing transition, where the after effects often yield more gain than anyone could imagine.

Natalie is a Certified Productivity & Organizing Professional (CPO) and holds specializations in Life Transitions and Brain-Based Conditions. She’s also a member of NAPO's Moving & Relocation Special Interest and National Association of Senior Move Manager groups. Natalie owns Soulganizing (home-based in Reno, Nevada), and is a speaker, writer and coach.

“Natalie is hands down, THE BEST and will go above and beyond the call of duty. We worked together for six months as she helped me downsize for a cross-country move. She knew exactly how much I should bring with me and my new home is now perfectly furnished and decorated; not too much and not too little. She took the time to go over floor-plans of my future home and from those plans did a layout of my things as they will fit in the new space. Natalie is compassionate and held space for me throughout a very emotional process. She allowed me to take time to feel a sense of loss and had nothing but empathy for me. It was a very emotional time and she explained to me that I was simply grieving the loss of my home- a unique response that I hadn’t yet heard or considered. This gave me a lot of comfort. She was instrumental in finding me a selection of moving companies and then worked with them to set up interviews. She even directed the movers on moving day until, literally, the last item was on the truck- each box packed and labeled with a designated destination (my home, my daughter’s home, storage) making it a seamless process on the other end. Also, she is an excellent puzzle-packer and not a single thing arrived broken or damaged. She is a task-master and was very firm with me about sorting through my stuff- she gave me homework each session and was patient while creating structure and setting deadlines for me. During this process you can’t help but fall in love with Natalie and she becomes an integral part of your life. I miss her and I can’t recommend her highly enough. If you wanted another way to think about Natalie’s business it would be called “Empathizing.”
